Sivaram's guest book entry

This was my comment I tried posting at Sivaraman's guestbook in his site http://www.geocities.com/rangoli_painting , but it accepts only short messages. So am posting it here.

Siva, I read through your comments on every rangoli image. But I have to make a few things clear to the visitors of your site. You have mentioned 'We' in most of the images. But it was actually 'YOU' who did most of the work, and in some cases, all of the work. I was one of those watchers sitting around and talking you out of sleep (those long nights were really exhaustive) and doing small assists. I don't deserve the praise you have attributed to me. I am not trying to be too humble; it's just my frank view. You single handedly performed on all those powder rangolis with very little support from me and others. It was a great experience working with you and our hi5 team. I am sure that your magnanimity will take you to greater heights. Good Luck!

dear nsk.....what u said is not true.....u and our hi5 team deserves all the credits....u ppl gave me the necessary encouragement, support and backup for whatever i was able to do.It's actually 'We' who did that and not me....for me the actual work for every image starts with the extensive preproduction we used to do, taking ODs :) ....the discussions we have before selecting a img/medium.....the number of magazines we used to go through to get references.u remeber our first rangoli with powder? we decided not to take risk doing a face and selected a img of the boy with the rose....covering his face with the cap :) ..... infact, selecting a proper image which was within our ability to paint was the secret of our success.Even during those late night hours.....u ppl used to correct me immediately when i go wrong with proportions/position as it is very difficult for me to access sitting in the floor.....reducing a lot of rework. We were a good team with a great working chemistry.
